It’s hard not to feel lost right now. Watching the turbulence and heartbreak unfold across the Middle East, I often feel like I’m drifting in a storm. But even in the deepest water there’s a current pulling toward tomorrow, and I still believe the tide will turn.
I made this piece entirely on a digital canvas, but I wanted it to feel like soft, smudged pastels: the kind of marks you make with your hands when words aren’t enough.
It’s my version of the oldest symbol of hope I know: the dove that guided Noah through the flood toward dry land. She rises out of the stormy blue carrying a flash of new green, a reminder that even the longest storm eventually gives way to peace.
