The “Yes, Man!” Himself

The Yes, Man! Himself, a playful exaggerated portrait by Bonfelle

Part of the Byzantine Saga·See the full series

Part of Odes to Peace·See the full series

We all know one. He agrees with everyone, about everything, every time.

I painted him with a playful palette and just enough exaggeration to sit somewhere between satire and affection. The longer I worked on him, the more I wondered whether all that “yes” was really a way of never having to say anything at all.

I made two versions, one with a bold, brushed “Yes, Man!” and one without. Honestly, he’d agree with whichever you prefer.
