Client: Green Climate Fund
Five days, thousands of delegates from around the world, and one question: how do you make a hotel feel like a home for a global summit?

The space
For five days, the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain became home to the Green Climate Fund’s 21st Meeting of the Board. Somewhere between 5,000 and 7,000 people passed through its doors.
An event like that starts long before anyone lands. The announcement, the invitations and the bookings all had to work for a global audience. Then a resort had to run like a diplomatic venue, while still feeling like Bahrain was saying hello.
The idea
I treated it as one journey, from the first email in a delegate’s inbox to the last contact they swapped on day five.
A warm welcome. Bahrain said hello first. “Bahrain Welcomes Green Climate Fund” greeted everyone at the entrance fountains, and hosts in traditional Bahraini dress met people as they arrived.

No paper chase. Behind the welcome ran a digital layer. A directory and smart badge let every delegate open session documents and swap contacts on the spot.

Inside, one green look tied together registration, the plenary hall and the screens, so a huge venue felt like a single event.
