Agency: Objects Jordan
Client: Centro Brasserie, Amman
Project Type: Brand Identity
A neighbourhood brasserie should look like it has always been there.
The restaurant
Centro Brasserie is a contemporary restaurant in Jabal Amman, just off the 4th Circle. Since opening in 2004 it has become a local favourite for its warm, casual yet upscale atmosphere, international menu and outdoor terrace.
The indoor seating is cosy and the terrace is spacious and lively. The mood moves from breakfast and brunch during the day to an upscale, moody setting for drinks and dinner at night.

The logo
The logo takes a timeless, European-inspired route that mirrors the restaurant’s identity as a classic neighbourhood brasserie.
The oval. A horizontal wooden oval, a classic shape for European bistro and brasserie signs, gives the venue the feel of an established, welcoming neighbourhood institution.
The name. CENTRO is set in elegant serif capitals. The fine line inside each letter recalls stone carving and vintage hand-painted glass signs: upscale without being formal or intimidating.
The contrast. “brasserie” is set in lowercase italics, flanked by two dots. It loosens the formal capitals above and signals a relaxed, social place to eat.
The palette. On the building, the sign is warm wood grain with off-white lettering, set into Amman’s signature white limestone. On napkin bands and uniforms it becomes rich brown with gold. Either way it feels warm, organic and grounded, and tells passers-by that the venue values heritage and comfort over passing trends.
